The goal of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Water Reliability Project is to provide reliable drinking water for generations to come. The water pipeline route balances the needs for effective traffic flow, while still protecting environmentally and culturally sensitive areas, and limiting the effect on the pipeline’s neighbors. For example, a portion of the route will run along the bridle trail, and Cal Water is working with a local equestrian consultant to minimize the impact to equestrians and horses.
