Landscape restoration and finishing work is largely complete on Montecillo Drive, between Encanto Drive and Palos Verdes Drive North. Final paving of the area is currently expected to be complete by the end of January. We are working closely with the Montecillo Homeowners’ Association to coordinate all necessary details.
Work continues near the Rolling Hills Little League ballfield as well as in the Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail, between the ballfield and Rolling Hills Road. A reminder that the Dapplegray Elementary School access road and Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail remain closed to the public as work is ongoing. Parents will be able to use the access road leading to the ballfield for Little League practice starting in mid-January. For a map of ongoing trail closures and route detours, visit our equestrian page.
Work is ongoing in the Botanic Garden Trail, between Rolling Hills Road and Crenshaw Boulevard, from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Botanic Garden Trail will be closed to pedestrians and riders until approximately spring 2019. Riders are encouraged to avoid the work area due to construction-related noise that may startle a horse.
Nightwork is taking place in the parking lot of the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church, along the Botanic Garden property near Crenshaw Boulevard, and will continue from Monday to Friday, between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. To facilitate this work, pipes will be staged in the Botanic Garden Trail, which remains closed to the public. The parking lot will be accessible during non-work hours.
Preparatory work continues for the new pump station on Crenshaw Boulevard, which is expected to be complete by the end of 2019. Residents should expect to see deliveries of materials to the pump station site as well as other work needed to prepare for construction.
