Construction Update: 3/28/19

March 28, 2019

REMINDER: Safety cones are placed throughout construction zones for the safety of residents and crews, so we kindly ask that you not move them. Please make sure to obey all posted road and trail closure signage, traffic control personnel, and instructions as construction continues. Thank you for your cooperation!

Starting Monday, April 1, crews will begin pipeline installation in the driveway of the Rolling Hills Montessori School on Rolling Hills Road. This work is expected to last about one week and will occur between Monday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. During work hours, the southbound lane of Rolling Hills Road will be closed and there will be flaggers on-site to help facilitate alternating one-way traffic via the northbound lane. To avoid longer-than-usual delays on Rolling Hills Road, we strongly encourage you to use alternative routes while work is occurring, especially during peak traffic hours.

Continuing this week, crews will be grouting the inside of the new pipeline along Palos Verdes Drive North, between Dapplegray Elementary School and Palos Verdes Drive East. Nightwork will occur from Monday to Friday, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be at least one lane of traffic open in both directions at all times.

Crews have started installing pipeline on Rolling Hills Road (private road) and will continue moving east along the Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail towards the Little League ballfield. Work will take place from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The trail will remain closed throughout the duration of construction and we ask that you continue to avoid the area for your safety and that of crews.

Pipeline installation continues in the parking lot of the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church, along the Botanic Garden property near Crenshaw Boulevard. Work will take place from Monday to Friday, between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The parking lot will be open to the public after work hours.

Construction is underway at the new pump station site on Crenshaw Boulevard, north of Silver Spur Road. Crews will be working from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Traffic control will be in place during work hours and there will always be at least one lane of traffic open in each direction.
