REMINDER: Please obey all posted road/trail closure signage and traffic control personnel while navigating work zones. For your safety and that of crews, please refrain from moving any traffic cones in construction areas. Thank you.
Project work is now in its tenth month and more than 18,300 feet of new drinking water pipeline have been installed so far.
Cleaning and grouting of the new pipeline is ongoing along Palos Verdes Drive North, between Dapplegray Elementary School and Palos Verdes Drive East. Crews are working at night from Monday to Friday, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. There will be at least one lane of traffic open in each direction at all times. Please note that once all seven miles of new drinking water pipeline are installed, crews will revisit Palos Verdes Drive North to tie the new waterline into the existing system and remove the final steel plates along the road.
Crews are continuing work along the Botanic Garden property, between Crenshaw Boulevard and the end of Lariat Lane. Work will take place from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. As construction continues, the Botanic Garden trail, from Blossom’s Trail to Rolling Hills Road, will remain closed for the safety of equestrians and crews.
Pipeline installation is underway in the parking lot of the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church, along the Botanic Garden property near Crenshaw Boulevard. Work will occur from Monday to Friday, 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. During work hours, the church parking lot will be closed to the public.
Crews are installing pipeline on Rolling Hills Road (private road) and will continue moving east along the Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail towards the Little League ballfield. This work will occur from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. As a reminder, the trail will remain closed throughout the duration of work and we encourage riders to avoid the area due to construction-related noise that could startle a horse.
Construction continues at the new pump station site on Crenshaw Boulevard, north of Silver Spur Road. This work, which includes traffic control on Crenshaw Boulevard, will take place from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. During work hours, there will be at least one lane of traffic open in each direction at all times.
For the most up-to-date construction information, please refer to the project timeline on our Map & Timeline page. The construction dates outlined in the timeline are approximations, rather than exact deadlines, and the length of work may change based on several factors, including inclement weather and unknowable field circumstances.
