We are now in the second month of construction for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Water Reliability Project and more than 10,000 feet of drinking water pipeline has been installed.
The eastbound lane closure on Palos Verdes Drive North (Dapplegray Lane to Dapplegray Elementary) is complete. You can now travel both eastbound and westbound. Pipeline installation has also been completed in the Dapplegray Elementary School main driveway and parking lot. Crews will be conducting minor finishing work in these areas in upcoming weeks, which will be scheduled in partnership with the School and City to minimize any impacts to residents. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during these critical phases of the project.
The next phase of the project on PV Drive North (Dapplegray Lane to Palos Verdes Drive East) began Monday, August 13 and is expected to end around October 25. Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and eastbound and westbound traffic will be open but limited to one lane in each direction. All lanes will be open after work hours. Please consider using alternate streets during this time and checking Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze to find the quickest route for your commute.
Work in the Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail is still expected to begin around Monday, August 20.
Please note that all of the provided construction dates are estimates, not exact deadlines, and are likely to change based on a number of factors, including inclement weather and other unknowable field circumstances. Future changes to these dates do not mean that the overall project is delayed or behind schedule.
