Construction work is ongoing and more than 3,000 feet of new drinking water pipeline has already been installed. The one-month closure of the eastbound lane on Palos Verdes Drive North between Dapplegray Lane and Dapplegray Elementary School is still underway and will be completed before school resumes. Work in the Dapplegray Elementary School main driveway and parking lot is progressing and is expected to be finished by approximately August 10. Pipeline installation continues from the main driveway to the ballfield. As such, there is currently no public access to the ballfield. We are working closely with the Rolling Hills Little League and Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District to coordinate all necessary details and access as construction continues until approximately September.
The Palomino Ranchos bridle trail, from the ballfield to Rolling Hills Road, will be temporarily closed from approximately August 7 (next Tuesday) to January 3, 2019. A map of anticipated trail closures and available alternatives is available here. There will be a detour of the Landfill Loop Trail until approximately December 2019. The trail will remain open and accessible but will be reduced in size. There will be signage clearly marking the new trail route.
