Construction Update: 8/22/18

August 22, 2018

We’re pleased to share that we have fulfilled our commitment to ensure that the Dapplegray Elementary School main driveway and parking lot are ready for students before school begins today, August 22. Construction crews worked diligently to install more than 3,000 feet of pipeline on school property in less than two months. Included below are images of the area during and after construction.

A reminder that the access road along Dapplegray Elementary School is closed to the public as work continues along the Little League ballfield and Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail. We are working closely with the Rolling Hills Little League and Dapplegray Elementary School to coordinate all necessary details as construction moves forward.

Work on Palos Verdes Drive North between Dapplegray Lane and Palos Verdes Drive East is underway and will continue Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until approximately October 25. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be open but limited to one lane in each direction, with all lanes reopening after work hours. There will be traffic control personnel stationed at the intersection of PV Drive North and PV Drive East during peak hours to help facilitate traffic. Please consider using alternate streets during work hours and checking Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze to find the quickest route for your commute.

Preparatory work in the Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail (from the ballfield to Rolling Hills Road) began Monday, August 20, and the trail will be closed until approximately January 3. Horses and pedestrians will not be able to access the trail during or after work hours and we encourage riders to avoid the area due to construction-related noise that may spook a horse. For a map of trail closures and available alternatives, visit the equestrian page.

Please note that all of the provided construction dates are estimates, not exact deadlines, and are likely to change based on a number of factors, including inclement weather and other unknowable field circumstances. Future changes to these dates do not mean that the overall project is delayed or behind schedule.
