Construction crews are making great progress and more than 11,500 feet of new drinking water pipeline has been laid. Work on Palos Verdes Drive North between Dapplegray Lane and Palos Verdes Drive East will continue this week from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be open but limited to one lane in each direction, with all lanes reopening after work hours. Traffic control officers will be stationed at the intersection of PV Drive North and PV Drive East during peak hours to help expedite traffic. Please consider using alternate streets during work hours and checking Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze to find the quickest route for your commute.
Construction work on Palos Verdes Drive North between Palos Verdes Drive East and Montecillo Drive is expected to begin Thursday, September 6. Crews will be conducting nightwork in the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive North and Palos Verdes Drive East from approx. Friday, September 7 to approx. Friday, September 14 between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Preparatory work in the Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail from the ballfield to Rolling Hills Road is underway, and the trail will remain closed until approximately January 3, 2019. Horses and pedestrians will not be able to access the trail during or after work hours and we encourage riders to avoid the area due to construction-related noise that may frighten a horse. For a map of trail closures and available route alternatives, visit the equestrian page.
There will be no construction activity on the Labor Day holiday. Construction will resume Tuesday, September 4.
Please note that the construction dates provided are estimates, not exact deadlines, and the actual duration of night work may change based on a number of factors, including inclement weather and other unknowable field circumstances. For the latest project information, please refer to the updated timeline on our Map & Timeline page.
