As you may recall, last year, Cal Water installed new drinking water pipeline along a portion of Montecillo Drive. Now that all seven miles of pipeline have been installed for the project, crews will revisit the portion on Montecillo Drive to prepare for the future work of tying the new pipeline into the existing drinking water system. This means the end of the project is in sight!
Starting as early as Monday, April 6, crews will begin prep work on Montecillo Drive for approximately two to three weeks, from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. During work hours, there will be a temporary closure of the northbound lane and traffic will be diverted to the southbound lane. There will always be at least one lane of traffic open in each direction. At the end of each workday, traffic control will be taken down and the area will be plated for safety and return to normal. Residents will always have access to Montecillo Drive. Crews will return to Montecillo Drive at a later time to complete the tie-in to the drinking water system.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at PVPWaterProject@CalWater.com.
As always, we appreciate your patience as construction occurs near your home. We look forward to completing this portion of the project as quickly and safely as possible.
Starting as early as Tuesday, March 31, crews will pave Lariat Lane for approximately two days. Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but access to the road will not be available for the duration of work.
- To allow paving to take place, cars will not be able to park on Lariat Lane. You are encouraged to park in your driveways or in the St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church parking lot (the lower parking lot just south of Lariat Lane) for the approximately two days of work. We kindly ask that you temporarily move any cars off of the road prior to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31. Residents will have full access to Lariat Lane once paving is complete.
- If you need any assistance with services – including mail and package deliveries, garbage and recycling pick-up, emergency services or feed deliveries – please contact Frank Scotty, Cal Water General Superintendent, at (310) 466-9461. We recognize the importance of these services and crews will do their best to assist them in accessing your home.
Please note, paving is contingent upon favorable weather conditions and timing could change.
We appreciate your patience as construction occurs near your home and we look forward to completing the necessary improvements to this road. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at PVPWaterproject@calwater.com.
We hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy.
