Beginning as early as Monday, June 22, there will be a temporary closure of the Botanic Garden Trail, from Blossom’s Trail to Rolling Hills Road, to facilitate finishing work. Crews will work from approximately Monday to Thursday, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. For the safety of equestrians and residents, the trail will remain closed until all work is complete. This work is an important safety precaution that will help prevent future problems related to the old, unused drinking water pipeline.
The map below indicates where the temporary closure will be located. There will be detours in place around the closure for trail users, but equestrians are encouraged to avoid the area due to construction-related noise that could startle a horse. Lariat Lane residents will continue to have access to the road at all times.
We’re happy to share that the portion of the bridle trail along Rolling Hills Road, between Rolling Hills Road (private road) and Lariat Lane, has been magnetized and is safe for equestrian use. As a reminder, a small portion of the Chandler Trail (near the Palomino Ranchos Bridle Trail) is temporarily closed due to mud in the area and will be reopened once it is dry and safe to use.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will work diligently to reopen the Botanic Garden Trail as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at PVPWaterProject@calwater.com. Thank you for your continued patience!
