Upcoming Tie-In Work and Temporary Low Water Pressure on the Peninsula

As you may know, crews have been conducting final tie-ins along the pipeline route, which involves connecting the new drinking water pipeline into the existing water system. This Wednesday, June 10, crews will conduct a tie-in that may result in a temporary drop in water pressure for residents and businesses on the Peninsula beginning as early as midnight and continuing for approximately 24 hours. To prevent further lowering of water pressure or any potential interruptions in water service, we kindly ask that residents be mindful of water usage during this time and conserve water where possible, including turning off irrigation systems.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at PVPWaterProject@calwater.com. As a reminder, all construction timing is estimated and may change based on several factors, including unforeseeable field circumstances.

As we head into the final stretch of the project and see the light at the end of the pipeline, we want to reiterate our gratitude for your patience as we complete this much-needed upgrade to the Peninsula’s water infrastructure.
