Earlier this month, crews repaved the Rolling Hills Little League ballfield parking lot during Dapplegray Elementary School’s spring break. Due to the discovery of a nest near the access road while this work was taking place, paving of the access road was paused until the birds safely left.
We’re happy to share that as early as Wednesday, April 29, crews will pave the access road from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for approximately two days. The access road will remain closed for the duration of work. Please note, paving is contingent upon favorable weather conditions and timing could change.
Since there will be heavy equipment operating from the entrance of Dapplegray Elementary School to the ballfield parking lot, we encourage equestrians to avoid the area due to construction-related noise that could startle a horse. For the safety of residents, horses, and crews, the Bridle Trail along Palos Verdes Drive North, from Phillip’s Canyon Trail to Strawberry Trail, will be temporarily closed for the duration of work (see below for a map). There will be a detour available around the closure that includes the Phillip’s Canyon Trail, John Howard Trail, Chandler Trail and Strawberry Trail.

Thank you for your patience.
